WSOP Las Vegas: Tang skims first night’s victory

Danny Tang wins a highly remunerated high-roller tournament at the WSOP in Las Vagas. This is his first WSOP victory for a player from Hong Kong.

Danny Tang has provided a historic event at the World Series of Poker 2019 in Las Vegas.

Tang won the Final Fifty High Roller with a buy-in of $50,000, bringing in the first WSOP victory for a Hong Kong player.

In addition to the highly coveted bracelet, Tang secured the high win bonus of $1,608,406. This is the second-highest sum he has ever won in a live tournament. He increased his total career prize money to over 6 million dollars.

123 entries had provided total prize money of over 5.9 million dollars.

Adams gambles away tournament win

Local hero Brandon Adams was the clear chip leader at the seven-man final table. The lecturer at Harvard Elite University, however, had to settle for fourth place after a failed call to an all-in from Tang.

The chips won in this duel put Tang on the winning track. In the heads-up, Sam Soverel defended himself for over an hour, but in the end, he only managed second place.
