Adam Friedman wins Dealer’s Choice Championship again

In the heads-up against Shaun Deeb, the US professional defended his $10,000 title from last year and made poker history.

Last year, Adam Friedman took his second bracelet to date in the $10,000 Dealer’s Choice Championship when he left a field of 111 players behind for a grand prize of $293,275.

Last night he repeated his triumph in the same tournament. This time he had to beat 122 players and a final table with Nick Schulman, Matt Glantz and heads-up opponent Shaun Deeb. Friedman’s defending title now joins a select group of players who have defended a bracelet at the WSOP, including Stu Ungar, Johnny Chan, Johnny Moss, Thang Luu, Doyle Brunson, James Moore and Phil Hellmuth.

Friedman’s choice of the game variants in the event was varied, so he had various stud variants, many 2-7 triples draws and also Badeucey proclaimed. He then explained to PokerNews that he saw the picks as an edge for himself in one of the toughest $10K events of the WSOP for him.
