While in Great Britain deposits with a credit card were blocked, and Ireland and Spain could follow, the WSOP announced its “savings menu” for this year.
Slot jackpot for King’s boss
In a blatant example of the rich getting richer and richer, King’s owner Leon Tsoukernik hit a €1,372,500 jackpot on the slots at Casino Seefeld.
He was actually on site for the Highroller Tournament, which was held during the CAPT Festival in Tyrol. There it was not enough for prize money, but instead, there was the seven-digit profit at the slots with a stake of €1,000.
The rest of us mere mortals can only dream of such a win, while the regulars who regularly appear in Leon’s high-stakes PLO rounds are probably already licking their fingers…

Credit card blocking in Spain & Ireland?
The UK has already banned credit card deposits with gambling operators, but now Spain and Ireland could take the same action.
In Spain, consumer protection agency FACUA has called on the government to follow the UK’s example, while in Ireland, according to various media reports, the organisation Problem Gambling Ireland is pushing for a ban on credit card deposits.
Experts estimate that credit card transactions account for less than 2% of all deposits at leading providers such as Flutter Entertainment. However, 22% of all players who use credit cards for this purpose are also classified as addiction-prone.
