Markku Koplimaa wins the EPT Barcelona €1,100 National

The first major event of the 2019 PokerStars.es EPT Barcelona Festival has come to an end at Casino Barcelona, and it was Markku Koplimaa who won the title, trophy and grand prize of 585,500 Euros at the 1,100 Euro EPT National.
On four starting days, there were a total of 4,682 entries that generated a stunning prize pool of €4,541,540. There were eight different nationalities at the final table.
Koplimaa defeated mixed game specialist Adam Hendrix in the heads-up, who took part in an EPT for the first time and was accompanied by shooting star Ali Imsirovic and WSOP bracelet winners Stephen Song and Yaser Al-Keliddar. While Hendrix won the trophy, Hendrix was awarded 346,500 Euros.
“It feels fantastic; amazing, I have no words for it. It’s a unique experience,” an overwhelmed Koplimaa said in an interview after the victory before adding: “You’ve spent four long days grinding-up and giving it all, it’s really hard to describe.
