The second day of the second round was not the best from a European point of view. As always, we have summarised what exactly happened, for you.
Griffin shocks G2 eSports
After losing the first game of this year’s Worlds against G2 eSports, Griffin now showed what the Korean teams were capable of and managed to win Group A. They managed to win all games of the second round day, including two games against G2 eSports. Nobody would have expected that G2 eSports would not take first place in the group. We are curious what else Korea has to offer, today SKT T1 will start and want to prove itself.
G2 eSports nevertheless in the playoffs
Don’t worry, don’t worry. The hope of winning the European title has failed at the Group Stage, but nothing is over yet. G2 eSports make it to the Knockout Stage in spite of the defeats against Griffin and will meet another, hopefully not Korean, the team there. They won’t be intimidated by this either, because they know exactly how strong they are. We can continue to look forward to fun, exciting and exciting G2 games.
Cloud 9 and HKA on their way home
For the North American Top Team and the Wildcard Winner from Hong Kong, it’s time for the winter break. The two teams had nothing to laugh about in this group and have to travel home. The quality difference between wildcard and directly qualified can be seen in the fact that Hong Kong Attitude could not win in the group, but in the PlayIn playoffs, they easily won three to one against Isurus Gaming.
