The Chiefs were back on top in a historic Monday Night Football victory for Patrick Mahomes. Also, hit 90 touchdown passes to beat the Buffalo Bills 26-17.
Mahomes continues to write his name in NFL history, as his 90 touchdown passes make in 37 games. The fewest in the league, leaving behind the mark of Dan Marino. He had made it in 40 games.
Kansas City was slow to respond to Bills’ defence. But it was in his second series that he was able to find Travis Kelce to turn the score around. Buffalo reacted immediately, and Allen would find Stafon Diggs. He managed to keep the ball on the diagonals after a very short drive.
The score would catch up in the second quarter when he found Kelce again. He would run 12 yards to the promised zone and leave the lead at halftime 13-10.
From there, both defences would be closed, and Kansas City would opt to seek the ground attack to extend their advantage. Williams would go 13 yards to get the last touchdown of the night for his team.
Bills would respond in the fourth quarter with a pass from Allen to Beasley, but it wouldn’t be enough to catch up with Chiefs.
Mahomes completed 21 passes for 225 yards, two touchdowns, while Allen had 14 passes for 122 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
