G2 eSports and Fnatic have also lived up to their role as favourites in the second week of the summer season of the League of Legends European Championship. The two teams lead the table with four wins each in four games.
Nothing else has changed in the LEC table this week. Excel eSports and Team Vitality are still at the bottom of the table with four defeats each. Vitality was one of the most successful teams in Europe at the World Championships in autumn.
For Misfits Gaming, 22-year-old youngster Thomas “Kirei” Yuen made his debut in the LEC. Directly in his first match against Excel, Kirei, who otherwise plays in the La Ligue Française for the junior team Misfits Premier, convinced.
After the second week, the table is divided into three groups. At the top are G2 eSports and Fnatic with four wins from four games. Origen, Rogue, Splyce, Misfits Gaming and Schalke 04 will follow the two front runners with two wins and two losses each. In the end, Excel and Vitality will be the winners.
However, this picture will change in the coming week at the latest – when Fnatic and G2 eSports will meet directly.
