New A1 eSports hub in Golling planned

Another A1 eSports hub is currently being built in Golling, near Salzburg. The new location will offer almost 400m² of space for gamers and clubs from Salzburg and the surrounding area. The opening will take place in September.

After the great success of the Vienna A1 eSports Hub in Schöffelgasse in the 18th district, Salzburg and Golling are now following suit with their hub. Under the name GO1, it will offer almost 400m² on several floors and thus more than enough space for LAN parties and other events.

Unlike in Vienna, where A1 itself operates the hub, in Golling, the GO1 will be under the patronage of only one association. The Salzburgers of XGS may call the GO1 their new home, but are open to organisations and players. They also want to give other teams and clubs the chance to use the GO1 as a location for boot camps, trainings, etc.

Another hub is already planned in Dornbirn and is expected to open in August under the flag of West Austria Gaming.

“We are very happy to open our homebase GO1 on September 28th officially. Although it is our location, we stand for sustainability and togetherness, and this means that every team, organisation or single player is always welcome — a place where we can all pursue our profession. For us as a club, this is, of course, an enormously important step towards professionalisation”.

A1 expands commitment in Esports

A1 is already known for its exemplary commitment to the local sport. Besides the A1 eSports League, where currently more than € 60.000,- are played in 4 tournaments, A1 has also been using its own locations since last year to strengthen national clubs and organisations.

In the so-called A1 eSports Hubs, players and teams will find a fully equipped gaming location with high-end computers, top peripherals, their own streaming rooms with the best equipment, such as a 4K camera, green screen, consoles, an Internet performance that every gamer only dreams of and much more.

This support is enormously important for local Esport organisations and their players to develop themselves further.
