All in all, the lucky player should now receive an incredible 768.4 million dollars (approx. 682 million euros)!

In the past weeks, the jackpot had increased extremely, which had led to a rush on the sales offices of the lottery “Powerball”, as the US television station CNN reports. As a result, the grand prize exploded and could grow to such a fabulous amount, explains David Barden of the Powerball lottery company.

But so far, little is known about the mega lucky man who has now become a multi-millionaire. All we know is that the ticket was bought in Wisconsin and the lucky guy actually typed six numbers (16, 20, 37, 44, 62 and the Powerball number 12). But what happens now?

If the winner insists on the complete sum, then the 768.4 million dollars will be paid to him in 29 annual installments. But if he wants all the money immediately, it is possible, but then the total amount shrinks to 477 million dollars (about 425 million euros).

Only recently, a winner from the US state of South Carolina also caused a sensation (Merkur.de reported). Last October, in the lottery game “Mega-Millions”, the winner even won the jackpot of a staggering 1.5 billion dollars.
