What is a Corner Bet ?

A term associated with roulette, ‘corner bet’ is a type of bet any player can make. Roulette fans can place a corner bet, by positioning the chips at the corner of four numbers. It’s typically in the middle so that any dealer is certain that you place a corner bet. Casinos and other gambling establishments will pay out 8-1 for each winning corner bet. This is the reason why corner bets have been a top-notch option for seasoned or advanced roulette players.

Corner Bet Explained

Also known as a straight bet or a quad bet, a corner bet allows roulette users to cover more squares on the table, increasing their chances of winning.
Even though it pays out less compared to a straight bet, you are likely to win four times as much with a corner bet.

Placing your chips in the cross-section of a casino table is an excellent example of a corner bet. It’s where you can find 4, 5, 7 and 8. Compared to other corner bets, this example is quite straightforward. As the ball successfully lands on any of these numbers, you will have a payout of 8-1.

When in search of an effective corner bet strategy, five squads have got you covered. It’s easy, and it does not require technical experience or knowledge. All you have to do is to place your chips in five cross-sections of four numbers, covering a total of twenty numbers.

Then, to complete it, place a chip on a single number, covering a total of twenty-one numbers.

The good thing about covering many numbers is that roulette players have a high chance of winning a payout. That’s it! It’s very straight-forward in Roulette however it still depends on your skills. Don’t forget that a gambling establishment always has an edge over the players. So, be careful if you want to go home with a smile.

Also, you have to keep within the table limits. Although you can place many bets in a roulette round, remember the limits. Casinos have this rule to protect themselves from heavy losses. Of course, any gambling businesses do not want to lose a lot of money. That’s why they implement that gaming regulation.

As a player, you should check the table rules ahead of time. When there are notable limits, you can place large wagers. Also, consider other aspects before you give a roulette a try.
